Avi is a research scientist in Marketing Science at Facebook. He was previously a researcher at the University of California, San Francisco where he was working on the early detection of psychiatric conditions based on brain activity and data science.

Whether it’s polling Americans for BuzzFeed News, better understanding the consumer journey for Tasty, or assessing the brand health for BuzzFeed, his research seeks to capitalize on consumer trends and drive thought leadership.
Prior to joining BuzzFeed, Ashmeed lead the Consumer Insights & Analytics team at Yahoo. Ashmeed holds a Bachelor’s degree in international affairs from The George Washington University, Washington, DC and an MBA with a concentration in marketing from Baruch College, New York.
