The mission of the Advertising Research Foundation’s Charitable Foundation is “To improve the diversity and excellence of the marketing research and data analytics workforce of the future.” ARF WIDE — the Workforce Initiative for Diversity and Excellence — is a major step toward fulfilling that mission.
Why is WIDE necessary? Diverse teams perform better and research functions can better thrive when they are representative of the diverse consumer populations we market to and study. Additionally, advertising and marketing industries have the influence to shape identities, values and behaviors. That power requires sustained, long-term commitment to positive social impact.
How is WIDE improving the excellence of the industry’s work by expanding access and equal opportunity for diverse populations? ARF WIDE is unique in its focus on diversifying the research and insights functions at our member companies in four major constituencies – marketers, media companies, agencies and research providers.
