
Apply to Become a WIDE Scholar
Through industry mentorship, professional development opportunities, Career Labs with leading professionals, and internship and career support, WIDE helps scholars build the skills, experience, and network needed to successfully launch their careers.
A certain number of scholarships will be awarded with priority given to students who demonstrate significant financial need.
Students who will be full-time juniors at one of WIDE’s partner universities by Fall 2026 and who:
- Have a minimum 3.0 GPA
- Demonstrate strong academic achievement and professional potential
- Are interested in careers in marketing, advertising, media, research, consumer insights, or analytics
- Are committed to actively participating in a two-year professional development program eligible universities
- Rutgers University
- University of Wisconsin–Madison
- University of California, Berkeley
- John Jay College of Criminal Justice
- Baruch College
- The Ohio State University
- One-on-one mentorship with an industry professional
- Access to Career Labs, ARF events and networking opportunities
- Exposure to leading companies across the marketing, media, and insights ecosystem
- Professional development and career readiness support
- Internship and job search guidance
- A limited number of scholarships will be awarded to students demonstrating the greatest financial need and will be maintained throughout the two-year program, contingent upon continued engagement and fulfillment of program requirements.
Applicants must submit:

- Resume
- Essay (500–1,000 words) addressing:
- Why they chose their major
- Relevant coursework, projects, internships, or experiences
- Career aspirations
- How participation in the WIDE program would support their goals
