The annual ARF Young Pros Bootcamp was held on January 22, 2020, in New York City – a full day conference designed exclusively by and for the ARF Young Pros. We kicked off 2020 with a full day of learning and networking.

Dominic Luongo (Senior Director Ad Sales Strategic Insights, A+E Networks), Asaf Davidov (Director Ad Sales Research, Hulu), and Tristan Webster (VP of Data & Analytics, TVision), who debated and discussed changing ad formats in an OTT world.
Fireside Chat: Robin Garfield – EVP, Research & Scheduling, CNN and Beth Rockwood – SVP, Portfolio Research, Turner. Beth Rockwood interviewed Robin Garfield in this intimate chat. Attendees learned about Robin’s career journey, how she landed in news research, and the role that audience research and analytics play in today’s media landscape as well as its vitality for CNN in the 2020 presidential election cycle.
Author and Ipsos SVP Brand Health Tracking, Emmanuel Probst, shared insights from his book, Brand Hacks.
Janelle James (Director, Qualitative Practice, Insights Division, Kantar), shared a case study and described how she uses improv in all aspects of her career, specifically in research. She led the bootcampers in a series of improv exercises to educate them on the tenets of improv and arm them to network successfully.
Don Robert (Executive Vice President of Research, A+E Networks) discussed the role of a media researcher in this rapidly changing industry.
Cheryl Grace (SVP Strategic Community Alliances and Consumer Engagement, Nielsen) taught attendees how to stretch their comfort with networking and developing relationships, including with senior leaders.
