What is your role / current company?
Associate Conference Producer / Black Hat

If you could offer one piece of advice to other young professionals, what would it be?
Ask questions and don’t be afraid to network, as you’ll never know when a connection can offer you the opportunity of a lifetime or greater clarity! I think everyone has experienced imposter syndrome at one point, but all that self-doubt is in your head. You were hired because they saw your talent and skills that you can bring to this position. So don’t wait for permission to voice an idea and know you have a seat at the table – and, when you take a seat, contribute.
Can you name a company or brand that you think is doing an excellent job and why?
I love how personal care brand Dove is committing to purpose-driven campaigns and is making beauty a source of self-empowerment, not anxiety, for women. Since its “Campaign for Real Beauty” launched in 2004, it has done moving projects such as showing the marked faces of frontline workers that were a result of the protective gear they were wearing constantly during the COVID-19 pandemic, a Turn Your Back campaign reminding us to not let social media filters ruin self-esteem, and the Faces of 10 campaign that addressed how girls as young as 10 are using anti-aging skincare. It’s amazing to see that a brand is actively embedding purpose into brand strategy, as today’s consumers like me value authenticity and tangible, intentional action.
What is your dream job? If money were no object, what would you do?
I’d love to manage a cafe that offers comfort style Eastern European food like pierogi and honey cake near the Jersey shore beach of Sandy Hook. When I was younger, I wanted to be a Rockette or a dancer with New York City Ballet. I still kind of do!
