When did you join the ARF Young Pros? 2020

What is your proudest professional accomplishment?
Going on my first solo pitch and winning it, everyone was a little dismissive of the pitch as the budget wasn’t huge but now the brand’s spend is exploding which feels rewarding!

What is your biggest professional challenge?
How young I look, I feel doesn’t fill a client with confidence whether it’s for a young mothers brands or large private banking firm. From initial meeting, I like many others, have to prove ourselves. (Or speaking up, and assuming someone more qualified should answer the question.)

How has being an ARF Young Pro member impacted your career?
I am a very new member, but I think at a time when training investment is taking a back seat – it really helps to link up and talk to senior people who are going through similar issues and learning what works/what doesn’t when remote working.

What’s your favorite Young Pros event that you’ve been to?
Only been to one, but I found it so valuable- going to many more.

When researching a topic you know nothing about, how do you get started?
Google. Google trends, ask colleagues, forums, social media, and get very lost in the depths of the internet! All in that order.

What’s an example of a company/ brand that you think is doing a great job?
IKEA – consistently brilliant in all aspects, completely consumer centric in their approach. Build products which people love and are innovative e.g. pizza hut table & the IKEA ThisAbles project

What is your favorite show/program?
Loving ‘I hate Suzie’ at the moment on Sky. It’s very raw but some fantastic dark humor.

What is your favorite restaurant in your city?
Mamalan in Brixton London, best dumplings ever.

What’s your dream job? (If money was no object, what would you do?)
If money and time was not issue! Commissioning content series, and have a bakery on the weekends which would also run as a social enterprise – matching business with giving back.
