Where to Next? Honoring My Predecessor’s Work and a Plan for Continued Improvements
Editor-in-Chief Colin Campbell takes note of the achievements of his predecessor, John B. Ford, who shepherded most of the work in this edition of JAR prior to handing the reins to Colin. “My goal is to build on Dr. Ford’s efforts while maintaining JAR’s position as the leading industry-focused advertising research journal,” Colin writes. In addition to launching two calls for papers, Colin’s efforts place a “renewed focus on our authors, which, ultimately, benefits our readers.” These include a simplified process for submitting papers as described in an updated Guidelines for Contributors, an expanded Editorial Review Board that further broadens its expertise, and greater visibility of our authors’ work, whether through communications channels (e.g., newsletters, a new LinkedIn page) or webinars featuring JAR editors and authors on our new YouTube channel.
