What is your role / current company?
Communications and Outreach Specialist / Milgard School Of Business – University Of Washington, Tacoma

If you could offer one piece of advice to other young professionals, what would it be?
In every job, find a way to explore what you’re passionate about. Own it. Make the job your own, because if it connects with you, you’ll stretch yourself in new ways and go even further. Opportunities will present themselves to you.
What is your proudest professional achievement?
I am most proud of leading the transformation of my organization’s content strategy. It has resulted in over 8x increases in month over month engagement, supported enrollment gains of 15% (compared to national 2% averages), and helped eliminate barriers internally.
Can you name a company or brand that you think is doing an excellent job and why?
I would name Critical Role as a company and brand that has carved out a passionate fanbase and transformed what started as a close-knit group of friends playing games, to a multi-million dollar brand of on-screen talent, tabletop rpg books and partnerships, and multiple Amazon Prime deals for some very successful animated IP stories. They have done a great job fostering their most engaged fans into superfans that will help promote their success into new ventures.
What is something you recently saw on the internet that made you smile? It can be work-related or otherwise (PG-13).
Endless Hamilton TikTok trend memes.
How has mentorship played a role in your career journey?
I have been blessed with several trusted supervisors and leaders who have mentored me across various avenues, helping me with soft skills, altruistic servant leadership philosophy, community building, and how to build a healthy and positive work culture by setting an example. A community of different people have invested their time in me, and as the opportunities arise, I too will invest in others.
What is your dream job? If money were no object, what would you do?
I can’t see myself doing just one thing. I love activating the different parts of my brain with strategic problem-solving and creative storytelling. I act on stage, I write books, I run marathons, I lead multi-platform ad campaigns, I build sustainable systems within organizations, and I enjoy living life to the fullest. Perhaps, if money were no object, I would combine these into a single company that I own, where I can have my community-involved creative outlets and marketing strategy all wrapped up in one (plus some more time to travel across the world).
