Chris Lang - Partner & Chief Insights Officer, SmithGeiger

As the Partner & Chief Insights Officer at SmithGeiger, Chris Lang brings extensive expertise in strategic consulting, specializing in marketing, pricing, promotions, distribution, and product development. He advises a broad range of media and entertainment clients, spanning the media and technology sectors, including Amazon, ESPN, the NFL, ABC, Paramount/Paramount+, Adobe, Sonos, and numerous local television stations. In recent years, Chris has played a key role in audience tracking, content and talent testing, as well as marketing analysis for high-profile programming, including major sports events and prestige dramas. His work leverages both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies to deliver actionable insights. Chris began his career in media as a writer for KFOR-TV, the NBC affiliate in Oklahoma City. He earned his MBA from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management, where he led the Entertainment Management Association and was inducted into the Anderson Business Honor Society. He also holds an honors degree from Northwestern University and has served as a guest lecturer at UCLA and USC.
