The Cubs won today.  The sky is blue.  Are these facts, insights, conclusions, or just statements?  Better question, why should we care in the way we spin and twist these words?  In this session, you’ll learn one perspective a data/quant analyst can become more influential in a non-data/quant environment… like an advertising agency!

2:45-3:30pm: Transforming Data into Insights into a Presentation Narrative by Cortney Henseler, Director, Consumer Analytics & Research, AOL

In this interactive session, Young Pros will learn how to turn data into insights and how to use those insights to structure a thought-provoking presentation. This will be a hand’s on workshop where teams will get data to analyze and, as a group, we will develop insights and a presentation narrative.

4:00-4:45pm: Understanding the Millennial Generation by Nicole Tramontano, Senior Research Director, Emerging Consumers Ad Sales, Turner

Created specifically for our Young Pro millennial audience, this session will include break-out groups to ideate on ways to best understand and reach this generation. Each generation has a unique set of characteristics that defines it based on their shared experiences (wars, recessions, technology advances, etc.).  These common threads tie the generation together, but life stages within the generation create differences. It is important for advertisers and publishers to understand the different life stages Millennials will go through and how these life stages are defined and influence content consumption.

4:45-5:30pm: Joining the Pixels: Arriving at new considerations for measuring video in the multi-channel, multi-platform and multi-format world by Mitzi Lorentzen, Vice President, Client Solutions and Innovation, Kantar Millward Brown, and Jessica Sarkisian, Account Supervisor, Kantar Millward Brown, Digital Practice

How do we measure effectiveness? These are the factors: make sure you’re reaching enough people – the right people – the right amount of times; make sure the right message is being delivered in an engaging way; and make sure this message suits the audience, and also the environment in which it appears. But the trickiest part is planning a channel to interact with other channels and tell a holistic story all while taking into account efficiency.
