Client Account Manager, ARF Universe Study of Device and Account Sharing (DASH)
Job Description
The Advertising Research Foundation is seeking a Client Account Manager to support the planning, execution and commercialization of its syndicated DASH Study of Device and Account Sharing. The ideal candidate is a bright, ambitious client service professional, at an early career stage, who wants to build relationships and explore a future in research and media.
DASH is a comprehensive universe study that creates a reliable, detailed picture of how Americans use digital media. DASH is designed to be a standard in the digital media industry – critical “intel inside” for innovative companies in the advertising and e-commerce ecosystem. DASH 2021 was a great success, and DASH 2022 is already in the field. A description of the DASH Study, use cases, press coverage, video content and the 2021 summary report are available here.
As the DASH Client Account Manager, you will work closely with the Commercial Director of DASH and the Chief Research Officer of the ARF; with the broader ARF team; and, of course, with all of our clients (licensees) and prospects . You will have the opportunity to make meaningful professional contributions that promote client satisfaction and participation, increase sales and improve the quality of our product.
Specifically, you will work with the Commercial Director to manage the prospect pipeline and help to engage and close prospects and secure renewals. You will manage contracts with our licensees and partners. You will work with the ARF’s Marketing team to develop sales collateral, presentations and campaign materials. You will serve as the key point of contact for project delivery, ensuring licensees have access to deliverables, including dashboards and databases, and to data integration services as needed. You will conduct analyses on our commercial offer and partner deals and on our marketing campaign performance – and make recommendations on improving them. You will help develop product extensions that generate new revenue, and you will maintain an up-to-date view of the status of the program and provide regular updates to the ARF leadership team.
Importantly, too, you will work with the ARF Research team and the project leader at our research partner, NORC, to ensure the quality of our product. You will help contribute to the questionnaire and field plan and conduct status and technical committee sessions with our sponsors.
This position requires at least:
- Three to five years’ experience in the research industry or a related field, with preference to those who have faced clients and had experience in business
- Bachelor’s degree from a competitive college or university
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Basic research, analytical and statistical skills
- Ambition, entrepreneurial drive and a desire to build new things
- Collegial, “can-do” work style suitable to a small company
- Fluency in the Microsoft Office suite
In addition, working knowledge of statistical software, such as SPSS, R and SAS, and visualization software, like Tableau and Heroku, are plusses, but not requirements.
The DASH Client Account Manager will have access to the substantial research and educational assets of the ARF. Our New York City office, in the Flatiron District, is open for business, but the DASH Client Account Manager can be a remote or hybrid role. The ARF offers a competitive compensation package, including full benefits. Interested parties should contact Elyssa Rubin at erubin@thearf.org.
