What is your biggest professional challenge?

Sometimes I find it difficult to find an ideal work/life balance. As a curious researcher, I can lose track of time while working on a project and end up working through lunch and after hours. Occasionally, I have to remind myself that taking breaks and hitting the reset button are key to a healthy and successful career.

How has being an ARF YP member impacted your career?

Having an outlet to learn about trending topics that may not be part of my day-to-day responsibilities helps keep me well-versed and informed – especially when the presentations are lead by top companies in the industry.

What’s your favorite event that you’ve been to?

The Mentoring Loft is a really great platform to interact with my peers who have advice to share. It’s beneficial to have a community of young professionals within the media industry (and outside of your company), to chat with. Plus, we get to hear about career paths from industry professionals that inspire our futures. I absolutely enjoyed the April 2018 loft and can’t wait for the next.

When researching a topic you know nothing about, how do you get started?
I start with the basics, internet search, internal and/or reputable resources, etc. I always think brainstorms are beneficial for any project and often “phone a friend” (or a colleague) to see if they have any thoughts to offer on the topic or can point me in the right direction.

What is your favorite show/program?
Currently, I’m a fan of Mr. Robot. Great cast with an interesting, unique concept.

What is your Dream Job (If Money was No Object, What Would You do)?

The kitchen is my happy place. I enjoy testing out recipes, trying new foods and cooking for family and friends. I’d love to be a personal chef or own a food truck.
