When did you join ARF Young Pros? 2016

1. What is your proudest professional accomplishment?
My proudest professional accomplishment was receiving my first promotion. Witnessing my success with a company and media industry I am proud to be part of was a rewarding experience!

2. What is your biggest professional challenge?
My biggest professional challenge is to continue learning how to measure cross-platform behavior. OTT and digital sources have enabled TV networks to reach more audiences, as it helps contribute to their total consumption (TV + Digital). Now with the explosion of various datasets, determining which metric(s) and source(s) is most valuable is becoming more difficult.

3. How has being an ARF YP member impacted your career?
Being a ARF YP member has greatly experienced my career. I have been able to network with very talented young professionals within the media field, examine how different companies are measuring audience behavior, and attend insightful conferences.

4. What’s an example of a company/brand that you think is doing a great job?
My company, Viacom, is doing a great job analyzing the “new” cross-platform world. This past year we have taken strides measuring how non-linear sources (mostly VOD and SVOD) affect TV viewing. We also look at cross-platform audience flow, specifically looking at how audiences view content on different/multiple platforms…Shout-out to the Viacom Multi-Platform Research Team!

5. What is your favorite show/program?
My favorite shows of all time are The Walking Dead & Breaking Bad. I am currently watching the second season of Ozark (Netflix Original) and the 3rd season of True Detective (HBO)… It’s crazy the amount of great content there is now, and it will be very interesting to see how consumers will react to all these upcoming streaming serves (i.e. Disney+). On top of their cable and SVOD subscriptions, will they agree to pay the additional charge to watch exclusive content?
