What is your role / current company?
Student
If you could give one piece of advice to other Young Pros, what would it be?
My advice: Stay curious and adaptable. While continuous learning is essential, building strong connections and networking with industry professionals is equally vital. These relationships can open doors to new opportunities and provide invaluable insights as industries evolve.
What is your proudest professional achievement?
My proudest professional accomplishment is making a sale worth $50,000, which reinforced my ability to create value and build strong client relationships.
What is your biggest professional challenge?
My biggest professional challenge has been adapting to a new work culture, as the practices and expectations here are quite different from what I was used to back home.
How has being an ARF Young Pro Member impacted your career?
Do you have a favorite campaign or activation? What made it stand out for you?
One of my favorite activations was conducting free workshops for healthcare providers at my previous company as a way to thank them for their service during the COVID-19 pandemic. It stood out because it allowed us to give back to those who were on the frontlines, and the impact was both meaningful and deeply appreciated.
What is one example of a company or brand that you think is doing a great job?
A mental health provider that’s doing a great job is BetterHelp. They’ve made therapy more accessible by offering online counseling services, which is particularly valuable in today’s fast-paced, digital world. BetterHelp removes traditional barriers like location and scheduling, making it easier for people to connect with licensed therapists from anywhere.
Has mentorship played a role in your career journey? Anyone you want to give a shoutout to? Include their name if you’re comfortable sharing!
Mentorship has definitely played a big role in my career journey. I’ve had the opportunity to learn from some incredible mentors who’ve guided me through critical decisions and career transitions. One person I’d like to give a special shoutout to is Cameron Charness, who has been instrumental in helping me navigate challenges and grow professionally in my career. Their support and advice have been valuable in shaping the path I’m on today.
What’s your dream job? (If money was no object, what would you do?)
My dream job would be to start my own company, focusing on building innovative solutions in the IT sector. Being an entrepreneur and creating something from scratch excites me, especially the opportunity to solve problems and make an impact in the tech industry.
What is one thing you have seen on the internet recently that made you smile? Work-related or otherwise. (PG-13!)
I saw a heartwarming video where a dog protected its toddler owner from a cat that was about to hurt the toddler. The dog quickly stepped in, nudging the child away, showing incredible loyalty and protective instincts. It was a beautiful reminder of the bond between pets and their humans!
