What is your proudest professional accomplishment?
Learning to code on the job. Thanks to amazing coworkers and stakeholders that challenge me daily with unusual requests, I’ve been able to really branch out with my data analytics skills. When you don’t have real-time application for a job skill, it can seem daunting and difficult to find time for outside of working hours. However being able to simultaneously learn and complete requests forced me to buckle down and get to work!
What is your biggest professional challenge?
My biggest professional challenge had been understanding when I’ve spread myself too thin. Young people early on in their careers are told never to say no, take on every opportunity that comes your way. Being mindful about the opportunities and assessing whether or not their good for me or just good for someone else is something I practice daily to create balance for myself.
How has being an ARF YP member impacted your career?
It has allowed me to connect with peers of similar backgrounds aside from my coworkers. Sometimes having someone who works in your industry, but not necessarily for the same company, can help you determine what concerns are affecting me v. what’s affecting the industry.
What is your favorite restaurant in your city?
Anywhere with pho on the menu! Pho is absolutely my favorite dish!
What’s your dream job? (If money was no object, what would you do?)
If money wasn’t an object I’d be a professional ice cream taster. If I had a $1 for every flavor I’ve ever tried I’d be a very rich woman.
