If you could give one piece of advice to other Young Pros, what would it be?
If I could give one piece of advice to other Young Pros, it would be to never stop learning and adapting. Everything is always changing and evolving, which can be scary sometimes, but keeping an open mind and embracing new experiences can open the door to new opportunities. These new experiences and opportunities are usually a great way to grow both personally and professionally and can help you learn more about yourself and your career.
What is your proudest professional accomplishment?
Speaking on a panel at a Young Pros event with industry professionals is probably my proudest achievement. I was pleasantly shocked and absolutely flattered when I got asked because I felt like the other panelists were more experienced in their careers. I knew it was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up and I’m glad I didn’t! Not only did it lead to me joining the Young Pros Advisory Board, but sharing my knowledge and insights with fellow professionals and aspiring talents was awesome. It felt really cool to know that my voice mattered and people genuinely wanted to hear what I had to say!
Has mentorship played a role in your career journey? Anyone you want to give a shoutout to? Include their name if you’re comfortable sharing!
Mentorship has been pivotal in my career journey thus far. I feel incredibly lucky to have had exceptional guidance from Danan Ren and Stephanie Parkinson, my two amazing managers. Their mentorship shaped my growth, offering valuable insights and pushing me to exceed my limits. Danan’s strategic thinking and problem solving always inspires me to do my best, while Stephanie’s calm energy and focus on personal development has transformed my outlook on my day-to-day tasks. I’m immensely grateful for their mentorship. They truly deserve a huge shoutout – I couldn’t have asked for better managers, especially starting right after college!
What’s your dream job? (If money was no object, what would you do?)
If money was no object, I think my dream job would be either an interior designer or some sort of world-traveling dog sitter. Being an interior designer looks so fun and it would let me unleash my creativity and (hopefully) create amazing transformations that look like they could be in a home makeover show. But also, I’m a huge dog lover and love to travel so as a world-traveling dog sitter, I’d get the best of both worlds – I would be exploring different cultures and stay in cool places while cuddling and caring for adorable pups. Two very different choices, but both sound like a great time!
