Mike is a sports marketing executive with a passion for synthesizing data and strategic analysis into actionable insights that drive impact. With over two decades of experience engaging with C-level executives across numerous industries, Mike focuses on leveraging data, analytics, and real-world market context to identify, value, and optimize effective partnerships for brands and properties.
Currently Senior Vice President of Data and Analytics at Excel Sports Management, Mike previously led the Insights team at LA28, where he built a robust insights program for both LA28 and the USOPC across consumer insights, content analytics, sponsorship measurement and fan data management. Prior to that, as Vice President of Global Insights at Wasserman, he developed a multi-million-dollar sponsorship analytics practice and drove a digital transformation in how the firm aggregated and utilized sponsorship valuation data. His career also includes roles as a Project Leader at The Boston Consulting Group, Director of Corporate Development at MeadWestvaco, Senior Manager of Acquisitions at Pepsi Bottling Group, and Vice President at JP Morgan Chase, where he achieved significant revenue growth.
Mike earned his B.A. in International Affairs from The George Washington University, an Intermediate Mandarin Chinese Studies Certificate from Fudan University, and an MBA in Finance and International Business from NYU Stern School of Business, graduating with Distinction and ranking in the Top 10% of his class. He is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma academic honor society and has been recognized as Innovator of the Year at the USF Sports & Entertainment Analytics Conference. Mike has also presented multiple times at the Sloan Sports Analytics Conference.
