James Ambalathunkal currently serves as Director of Strategy & Insights at Magid where he is the subject matter expert on content strategy. He is consulted on developing content that resonates with diverse, marginalized communities and elevates cultural authenticity perceptions.
Prior to Magid, James worked at Nielsen where he established data partnerships and advised on content products for the entertainment industry such as Inclusion Analytics. He’s also worked as a Nickelodeon & DC Entertainment sitcom writer, in creative programming at NBC Entertainment where he managed various scripted dramas, comedies, TV movies, miniseries, acquisitions and co-productions, and in DEI creative advisement responsible for increase diverse representation in content and analyzing inclusion data for meetings with the NAACP, NHMC, and GLAAD.
