Dave Kaplan - Senior Vice President, Entertainment Research & Decision Sciences, NBCUniversal

Dave Kaplan serves as Senior Vice President, Entertainment Research & Decision Sciences, NBCUniversal. In this role, Kaplan oversees content analytics and strategic insights for NBCUniversal’s entertainment networks, including NBC, Bravo, E!, Oxygen True Crime, SYFY, Universal Kids and USA Network, across both linear and Peacock. During his nearly 14-year tenure at the company, Kaplan has been instrumental across the business in identifying industry trends, assessing audience measurement, overseeing program testing and driving advertising research. Prior to joining NBCUniversal, Kaplan spent nine years at Nielsen (originally with IAG Research, which was later acquired by Nielsen) where he contributed substantially to the development of the company’s core research products that measure the impact of advertising and branded content across TV, web and mobile, and to the understanding and use of program engagement metrics. Kaplan holds a BA in Psychology from Cornell University’s College of Arts and Sciences, where he was named a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
