Jasmine Fowlkes Clennon – Manager of Ad Innovation & Programmatic Solutions, Turner Ignite
Jasmine Clennon is Manager of Ad Innovation & Programmatic Solutions within the IGNITE division at Turner. Over the past three years at Turner, Jasmine has worked within Ad Sales Research, Integrated Marketing Research, and has been heavily involved in the execution of Turner’s innovative ad products. Prior to joining Turner in 2012, Jasmine was a Research Analyst at USA TODAY Newspaper and USA WEEKEND Magazine. Jasmine is a graduate of Gannett’s Talent Development Program (TDP), beginning her career as a Marketing Research Analyst for the Gannett New Jersey Newspapers. In addition to the Young Pros Advisory Board, Jasmine is also a dedicated member of Color Comm, Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Jasmine has a BA in Public Relations from The Zimmerman School of Advertising and Mass Communications at the University of South Florida. Jasmine lives in New York City, but hails from Pensacola, Florida.
Maris Cohen – Manager, Content Marketing, The NPD Group
Maris Cohen is a content marketer for research firm The NPD Group, where she writes about retail trends and serves as managing editor of their website. In this role, she works to build NPD’s audience of manufacturers and retailers by creating and delivering valuable content across their digital channels. Prior to joining NPD, Maris spent five years at Kantar Media, where she developed the research company’s thought leadership initiatives through storytelling with advertising data. She earned her B.A. from New York University with concentrations in French, Mathematics and Business. How’d she put that French degree to use, you might ask? It’s actually how she got her start in the research world—translating consumer surveys from French to English at TNS France. In her spare time, she enjoys recreational cooking and eating.
Katherine Krauss – Senior Research Manager, BuzzBack
Katherine is a Senior Research Manager at BuzzBack, working on a range of studies within the CPG, pharmaceutical, and financial industries. Her clients include top consumer product companies, such as J&J, Unilever, and McDonald’s. While working in BuzzBack’s UK office, she developed her skills for multi- market research development and analysis, and has executed a number of large-scale, global concept evaluations, naming tests, and brand/product exploratories. She is experienced in multi-phase research – helping clients test products from initial innovation, to positioning/package optimization, to final ad concepts. Katherine was a finalist in the YES Pitch Competition at the ESOMAR Congress in 2016, nominated as a Rising Star at the 2014 ARF Great Mind Awards, and has been published for her independent textual analysis on Old Spice campaigns in the Media Report to Women (2011).
Om Marwah – Head of Behavioral Science, Walmart Labs
Marwah founded Walmart’s behavioral science group that applies behavioral science alongside data science, design, and rapid prototyping to turn cutting-edge academic concepts into tangible results. His team applies psychology to the customer shopping journey, business strategy, marketing, disruptive technologies, human resources, analytics, and more. His team reports directly into a CEO at Walmart Global E-Commerce and works across the enterprise. Marwah also founded the behavioral science and marketing summit, teaches at UCLA, and is a Forbes 30 Under 30 awardee.
Lexi Whelan – Strategist, Pitch
As a Strategist at Pitch, Lexi leads the strategic initiatives for various clients including: Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills, Burger King, Netflix. With a love for people and an insatiable curiosity, she enjoys digging into new business pitches and all the intricacies that come with understanding unique consumer mindsets and evolving trends. Prior to joining the advertising world, Lexi worked in investor and member relations for Summit Series, and thus has a keen understanding of brand loyalty and the importance of strategic communications. Originally from Arizona, Lexi graduated with a B.A. in Psychology and Anthropology from Southern Methodist University in Dallas. She now calls Los Angeles her home, and loves exploring all the vibrant diversity, food, and new experiences that the city has to offer. The proximity to the ocean doesn’t hurt either.
