In film and video editing, a post-production process in which secondary audio recordings are “mixed” with the original production sound, in order to create the final soundtrack. This is most commonly used outside the industry to refer to replacement of spoken language audio with foreign-language voices, but within the industry, the term holds the broader definition of any audio re-mixing.
