Giovanna Dimperio oversees brand, targeted marketing and media strategy in her role as Managing Director of Marketing at H-E-B. In this role, she leads a team that creates engaging marketing strategies, media plans and targeted marketing campaigns that connect with consumers – and delight Texans as they engage with their favorite grocery retailer. Giovanna’s career has been spent helping brands connect to customers and tell compelling stories. Campaigns Giovanna has spearheaded have been featured in case studies showcasing innovative marketing across the industry with partners like Snapchat, Instagram, and Facebook. Her team’s work has been the recipient of numerous awards in the advertising industry, including a Gold Shorty award, and Giovanna has been featured in Digiday and Modern Retailer for her work as a digital live shopping pioneer. Prior to H-E-B, Giovanna got her start doing collegiate marketing with Red Bull, and then went agency-side where she worked on brands like Mizuno Running and Eastman Chemical. She then worked for apparel retailer Lands’ End in digital and social marketing before making her way to Texas and H-E-B. She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Madison, with a M.A. and B.A. in Communication and resides in San Antonio with her husband and their sassy Shar Pei Pepper.
