ARF Announces New Consulting Role for Joel Rubinson

NEW YORK – July 28, 2010

The ARF announced today that beginning September 2010, Joel Rubinson will be changing his relationship with the ARF, focusing exclusively on the ARF’s Research Transformation and Shopper Insights initiatives, while beginning an independent consulting practice to work directly with clients on their business issues.

Bob Barocci, ARF President & CEO, said, “The ARF has gained considerable momentum over the past few years, producing significant industry impact-driven deliverables and attracting over 100 new members in the past 18 months. Joel Rubinson has contributed considerably to the ARF’s success, especially in areas such as transforming the impact of consumer insights, understanding how to think about building strong brands in today’s new marketing world, leveraging listening and social media, and shopper insights. As Joel moves on to his new consulting practice, I am very pleased that we will continue to collaborate in the important areas of research transformation and shopper insights, to ensure that these ARF initiatives achieve maximum industry impact.”

Joel Rubinson added, “I want to work directly with clients to help them succeed in the new digital world, leveraging the thinking that has emanated from industry leaders via the ARF. My goal is to help clients find the tools they need to build brands, help research and insights teams synthesize diverse information streams, and help media companies understand the changing way that marketers are thinking about brand-building.”

The ARF’s pursuit of new and innovative research leadership has already begun. Just last week, the ARF was pleased to announce the addition of David Marans, EVP Media to its team of industry thought-leaders.
