Join The ARF and Pandora Media on Wednesday, May 4th as we present the state of in-car audio with new insights from Edison Research’s study, “Hacking the Commuter Code.”

One third of audio consumption takes place in the car equating to 87 minutes of listening per day. This groundbreaking study explores how evolving technologies, and mobile access have increased content choices, and thus have changed the audio experience for today’s commuters. To measure this environment, Edison outfitted 101 cars with GoPro cameras pointed at the dashboard controls to record exactly what, and for how long, commuters listen. This ethnographic study was enhanced by a quantitative online survey fielded to 1100 U.S. respondents.

These questions and more will be covered in this important study:

  • How do commuters listen to AM-FM, streaming radio and podcasts?
  • Are they connecting their phones by Bluetooth or USB ports in smart cars?
  • How interested are consumers in connected car in-dash entertainment centers?
