Nolan will discuss the two primary types of presentations (“Glanceable” and “Scannable”) and how to design your slides specifically for those formats. Strategies for eliminating bullet points, reducing overall copy and writing clear presentation content will be covered along with the importance of singular messaging and why creating a “bumper sticker” for your deck can eliminate presentation headaches for all. Joining the Pixels: Arriving at new considerations for measuring video in the multi-channel, multi-platform and multi-format world
Justin Carbonella – Vice President, Kantar Millward Brown
Jacquelyn Wallace – Digital Creative Development Lead, Kantar Millward Brown

How do we measure effectiveness? These are the factors: make sure you’re reaching enough people – the right people – the right amount of times; make sure the right message is being delivered in an engaging way; and make sure this message suits the audience, and also the environment in which it appears. But the trickiest part is planning a channel to interact with other channels and tell a holistic story all while taking into account efficiency.

Public Speaking
David Ho – Consultant, BET

Jerry Seinfeld once said, “if you have to be in a funeral, the average person would rather be in the casket than doing the eulogy”.  Public speaking may be one of our greatest fears, yet it is an essential part of advancing your career as a young professional. During this breakout session we will review tips and tricks to help you deliver a clear and compelling presentation. The session will include an opportunity to apply your skills and practice speaking in front of your peers.

Sparking the Imagination in Ideation
Jessica Barbakoff – Innovation and Branding Consultant, GfK

How do you get the most innovative ideas? Learn how marketing research can set the strategic foundation for creativity, discover techniques to spark the creative ideation process, and explore how research can help you refine and strengthen the idea prior to market launch.
