Online Research Quality
The ARF’s Online Research Quality Council (ORQC) has identified and begun to research three critical questions:
- How is quality defined?
- How can providers be accountable?
- What metrics can all stakeholders use to consistently assess the quality of the information derived from online research?
The ORQC launched on June 17th a major research-on-research activity entitled the Foundations of Quality Initiative and the five RFPs required were sent to over 600 people at 400 plus companies and academic institutions.
The ORQC is developing a body of research-based guidance on quality through the extensive efforts of two leadership committees and four working committees. The ORQC is working to develop critical new research on research and to promote knowledge sharing from across the industry in concert with other leading associations:
- American Association for Public Opinion Research (AAPOR)
- American Marketing Association (AMA)
- Council of American Survey Research Organizations (CASRO)
- Council for Marketing and Opinion Research (CMOR)
- ESOMAR
- International Organization for Standardization (ISO)
- Interactive Marketing Research Organization (IMRO)
- Market Research Association (MRA)
Volunteers are encouraged to join and participate in one of the four working committees:
